Participated in the Panel Discussion on Design Challenges at CapRate LLC Wash., DC Data Center Summit

This past Friday (09.16.2016), I had the opportunity to participate in a design panel discussion with three other mission critical design and commissioning experts.  It was an engaging morning session sponsored by CapRate Events, LLC, as part of the Fourth Annual Washington, DC and Mid-Atlantic Summit. (09.14.2016-09.16-2016).

Our 30 minutes covered engineering and architectural topics some of which are highlighted below:
  • 2015 Codes and standards and their impacts on design.
  • Latest energy reduction strategies.
  • Modular data centers, applicability and impact to designers.
  • Drivers that affect both the owners and the design team.
The audience asked excellent questions to all of us and I thought we gave them insightful information that they can take back to their workplace!

Unfortunately, we forgot to memorialize the session with a photograph! Hence, I'll resort to inserting a couple of the slides that accompanied our discussion.

The participants were: Jim Dickinson from JFD Architecture (moderator), John Rickert, PE from EYP Mission Critical (HP Enterprise), Eric Hebel, PE from exp Federal Inc.

Look forward to participating in future events of similar nature!
